Sherfield Fête will take place on Saturday 8th June, from 12:00 to 17:00 on the village green.
Sherfield Fête is going back in time for 2024, with a middle ages theme to our featured attraction. The Medieval Combat Society will be establishing an encampment on the green, where you can experience a variety of sights, smells and activities typical of the period. Try your hand at archery! Watch combat between knights in armour! Sample ancient recipes! With arena displays through the afternoon and much more to entertain and inform you, we expect this to be a popular attraction for everyone.
But that’s not all! The fête features many more displays, a range of activities to join in with, dozens of stalls to browse and buy from, and a wide range of food and drink options, and promises a full afternoon of fun for all ages. Entrance is free – though we’d appreciate a donation towards our charitable purposes.
Our chosen lead charity for 2024 is North West Hampshire Home-Start, who are based in Basingstoke and offer support to new parents who may be struggling, through one-on-one contact with volunteers who have parenting experience.
